Can you resize Stainless Steel wedding rings? Good question, even better answer, Yes and No!
Stainless Steel is a really hard metal in comparison to precious metals, which makes it very difficult to resize. We can usually stretch up the ring around a size if you find its a little neat after trying it in. Any more increase or expansion than one ring size may change the structure and shape of the band too much. Stainless steel is less elastic compared to Gold or Silver for example.
If your unsure of your ring size then we can send you a free ring sizer after you purchase your ring from us, allowing you find the right fit before we make your ring for you.
It is possible to make a ring smaller? Well yes it is, but.........Making a Stainless Steel wedding ring smaller would involve cutting a section out an TIG welding it back together. Whilst this is physically possible, we don't offer this service. We feel it would be too messy and time consuming, and could damage or melt the ring permanently.
If you already own a stainless steel ring and have lost a dramatic amount of weight or your hands have changed in their shape over the years then we would suggest you take a new measurement of your finger. This new measurement of your ring size will help you to find the best fit for you.
